About me
Paulina Kubś
Psychologist, Sexual Disorders Psychotherapist, Cultural and Intercultural Psychologist
I am a psychologist, psychotherapist, psychotherapist of sexual disorders, cultural and intercultural psychologist
I completed a 5-year master’s degree in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. My research involves such areas of psychology as Biopsychology, Social Psychology, Evolutionary Psychology, Biopsychophysiology, Psychology of Memory and Learning, Psychology of Individual Differences or Projective Methods.
I am also interested in fields that involve more interdisciplinary approach, such as Health Psychology, knowledge of unconscious processes, especially at the level of metaphor and cultural records, or Humanistic Psychology in a broad sense.
I am a member of the Polish Psychological Association, the Psychotherapy Section of the Polish Psychological Association and the Polish Association of Somatotherapy. After years of psychotherapeutic work with patients in crisis, I created my own method of work – Interventional Systemic– Cultural Psychotherapy.
I use my extensive knowledge and interests, which result not only from my studies, internships and courses, but also from listening to patients’ stories, watching the work of teams of specialists and my own professional and personal self-development.
My passion over the years has been cultural and religious studies, psychology of religion and cultural psychology. This allows me to combine knowledge from different theoretical disciplines.
I am interested in a person immersed in culture, meaning someone who functions in a wide context/system, not only familial, but also environmental, cultural, religious-spiritual and historical.
As a systemic psychotherapist, instead of working on connotations, I use metaphor and symbol, referring to myths and knowledge from different religions as well as cultures. This knowledge helps me see beyond the patients’ issues and symptoms, but more importantly, what function they serve in someone’s life. I also give a basis for guidelines that can help them recover from the crisis and learn to live again.
Besides my work, I also engage in a wide range of intuitive art and work with traumatized animals.

It was here that I received a solid education that allowed me to explore the secrets of systemic-cultural psychotherapy and develop the skills necessary to work effectively with clients. The Jagiellonian University, which is one of the oldest and most reputable universities in Europe, provided me not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with practical experience that is invaluable in my daily work. In this section, I would like to share with you the details of my education and how it has influenced my approach to psychotherapy.
