They differ in assumptions and methods of work.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rank-math-toc-block\" id=\"rank-math-toc\"><h2>Spis tre\u015bci<\/h2><nav><ul><li><a href=\"#glowne-rodzaje-psychoterapii\">Main types of psychotherapy<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#podzial-psychoterapii-ze-wzgledu-na-forme\">Division of psychotherapy according to form<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"glowne-rodzaje-psychoterapii\"><a><\/a>Main types of psychotherapy<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Popular psychotherapeutic currents include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>psychodynamic therapy<\/strong> \u2013 assumes that the cause of problems are unconscious conflicts and emphasizes working with the subconscious,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>behavioral-cognitive therapy <\/strong>\u2013 focuses on modifying abnormal patterns of thinking and behavior,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>humanistic therapies (e.g. Gestalt)<\/strong> \u2013 are based on the natural potential of a person for development,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>systemic therapy <\/strong>\u2013 focuses on the functioning of a person within a system, i.e. a group, most often a family,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>solution-focused therapy<\/strong> \u2013 it does not analyze the causes of difficulties, but looks for ways to make quick changes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>eclectic (integrative) therapy<\/strong> \u2013 uses elements from various trends, adapting them to the needs and situation of a particular patient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"podzial-psychoterapii-ze-wzgledu-na-forme\"><a><\/a>Division of psychotherapy according to form<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we talk about types of psychotherapy, we usually mean therapeutic currents. However, this term can also refer to the form, i.e. the number of people who take part in therapy. We then distinguish:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>individual therapy <\/strong>\u2013 one person participates in it and we focus on solving their problems,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>couples\/marriage therapy<\/strong> \u2013 this is a therapy in which the couple participates, so we focus primarily on the difficulties that occur in a given relationship,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>family therapy<\/strong> \u2013 this is a process involving the whole or part of the family, it serves primarily to improve mutual relations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>group therapy<\/strong> \u2013 these are meetings attended by a larger number of people experiencing similar problems, e.g. alcohol addiction or DDD syndrome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes we combine individual therapy with group therapy \u2013 this approach brings very good results m.in. in the case of addictions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Psychotherapy is a process of treatment that can be carried out with the help of various currents.
