It takes place with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.<\/p>\n\n<nav class=\"wp-block-stackable-table-of-contents stk-block-table-of-contents stk-block stk-ab14d6f\" data-block-id=\"ab14d6f\"><p class=\"stk-table-of-contents__title\">Table of contents<\/p><ul class=\"stk-table-of-contents__table\"><li><a href=\"#kiedy-warto-skorzystac-z-psychoterapii-dla-dzieci-i-mlodziezy\">When is it worth using psychotherapy for children and adolescents?<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#jak-wyglada-psychoterapia-dzieci-i-mlodziezy\">What does psychotherapy for children and adolescents look like?<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"kiedy-warto-skorzystac-z-psychoterapii-dla-dzieci-i-mlodziezy\"><a><\/a>When is it worth using psychotherapy for children and adolescents?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participation in therapy is recommended primarily in the case of such problems as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Self-aggression<\/strong> \u2013 self-aggressive behaviour includes m.in. self-harm or excessive pushing of the body;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>eating disorders<\/strong> \u2013 anorexia and bulimia are conditions that affect many teenagers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>aggression<\/strong> \u2013 its manifestation is not only physical but also psychological violence, e.g. bullying of peers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>suicidal thoughts<\/strong> \u2013 their cause may be m.in. depression or hatred at school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>addictions <\/strong>\u2013 there are addictions among minors m.in. from psychoactive substances, games and telephone;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>problems in social relationships<\/strong> \u2013 this category includes m.in. shyness, isolation from the environment and lack of ability to maintain bonds;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>personality disorders<\/strong> \u2013 their first symptoms often occur during adolescence, and a quick start of therapy facilitates treatment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>neurodevelopmental disorders<\/strong> \u2013 i.e. ADHD and autism spectrum disorders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"jak-wyglada-psychoterapia-dzieci-i-mlodziezy\"><a><\/a>What does psychotherapy for children and adolescents look like?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Various therapeutic currents are used in working with children and adolescents, including behavioral-cognitive, psychodynamic and systemic therapy.
