Mental disorders
Psychological support is mainly used by people who struggle with mental disorders, such as:
- mood disorders – these are mainly depression, bipolar disorder (BD) and dysthymia,
- eating disorders – anorexia, bulimia, compulsive binge eating syndrome, but also the rarer ones, e.g. bigorexia or orthorexia,
- personality disorders – these are fixed, rigid patterns of thoughts and behaviors, e.g. borderline, paranoid, obsessive-compulsive or avoidant personality,
- anxiety disorders – this group includes phobias, generalized anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),
- psychotic disorders – m.in. schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder,
- neurodevelopmental disorders – ADHD and autism spectrum.
Addictions
We also offer psychological support to those who struggle with addictions. Psychotherapy enables effective treatment of addictions to alcohol and other psychoactive substances and behavioral addictions.
Crisis situations
A crisis situation is a moment when psychological help is particularly important. We help patients regain control of their own lives and find a way to solve difficulties.
DDA and DDD syndrome
Thanks to psychotherapy, people with DDD and DDA syndrome can work through traumas, learn to express emotions in a safe way and develop interpersonal skills.
Relational problems
The area of psychological support is also problems in relationships – in a couple or the whole family. In such a situation, we usually work with two partners or with all family members. We focus m.in. on improving communication and working through crises.
